On 03.06.2020 at 11:00, a meeting of representatives of the Student Councils of universities was held in the hall of the Academic Council of the Technical University – Sofia, initiated by the National Representation of the Student Councils. The meeting discussed the general position of the Student Councils regarding the deadlines for the upcoming repair of the main heat pipeline, which supplies the "Student City" district. At 16:00, a meeting was held at the building of "Toplofikatsiya Sofia" EAD, attended by the Executive Director of "Toplofikatsiya Sofia" EAD, Eng. Alexander Alexandrov, representatives of the management of "Toplofikatsiya Sofia" EAD, the Mayor of the "Studentski" district – Mr. Petko Goranov, and representatives of the student councils, including the Chairman of the Student Council of the Technical University – Sofia, Eng. Zhivko Rusev, and Ms. Daniela Stefanova – organizer of the civic petition against the shutdown of hot water. The duration of the upcoming repair of the main heat pipeline, which supplies the districts of "Student City", "Drevenitsa", "Vitosha", and "Malinova Dolina", was discussed. An agreement was reached at the meeting that hot water would be shut off on July 15, the repair would begin on July 13, heat supply to the districts of "Student City", "Vitosha", and "Malinova Dolina" would start on August 21, and to the district of "Drevenitsa" in stages in the following days.
