
Based on Article 32, paragraph 1, item 1 of the Higher Education Act, in conjunction with Order No. RD-01-51/26.01.2021 and Order No. RD-01-273 / 29.04.2021 of the Minister of Health, with the aim of limiting the spread of Covid-19 (coronavirus), the Rector of the Technical University – Sofia, Prof. Dr. Eng. Ivan Králov, ordered:
1. For the period until 30.05.2021 inclusive, the educational process in the faculties, branch, colleges, and departments of TU – Sofia shall be conducted in a remote in-person form of teaching in an electronic environment. It is permitted for teachers to conduct classes outside their workplaces.2. For the period specified in item 1, state exams and thesis defenses shall be conducted in person.
3. During the period specified in item 1, preparations shall be made for conducting a regular undergraduate admissions campaign in person.
4. For the period specified in item 1, the conduct of congress-conference events, seminars, competitions, training, team-building activities, exhibitions, and other events in person is suspended. Meetings of councils of main units, qualification courses, and exams shall be conducted in an electronic environment. In the presence of secret voting and the possibility of ensuring the anti-epidemic and restrictive measures indicated in Order No. RD-01-51/ 26.01.2021 of the Minister of Health, these votes may be conducted in person on the territory of TU-Sofia, following prior permission from the responsible Vice-Rector.
5. All services and administration continue to work in person at their workplaces. In case of quarantine or justified need for remote work in an electronic environment, it is permissible after coordination and approval by the responsible Vice-Rector.
6. The introduced regime of controlled access to the academic and administrative buildings of TU – Sofia continues to apply. Access to the specified buildings is granted only to teachers, researchers, students, doctoral students, course participants, and employees in the faculties and departments of TU – Sofia, the pupils and pedagogical and support staff of TEUS and NPG by KTS – Pravets, as well as those serving the adjacent infrastructure, including leased premises, representatives of authorized institutions, participants in procedures under the Public Procurement Act, the State Property Act, etc., as well as persons going to the registry office. Other external persons are not permitted in the buildings.
7. Student dormitories continue to operate under strict supervision by the wardens to ensure compliance with the currently established disinfection algorithm. The student cafeterias of TU-Sofia function exclusively for the pickup of prepared meals to be taken home or to the office.
8. The directors of TUETS and PGKTCS - Pravets should establish an organization for conducting the educational process in schools according to the schedule for each class, in accordance with the orders of the Minister of Health. The ceremonial farewell of high school graduates in schools is permitted only in open-air venues.
