On May 14, 2020, "TUS Science Days 2020" began.
The first event in the Science Days calendar was the Ninth International Scientific Conference "Technology, Technologies and Systems – TECHSYS 2020". The conference work was conducted remotely, through online sessions in the "Zoom" software environment.
With a special video address, the Rector of the Technical University – Sofia, Prof. Dr. Eng. Ivan Králov, opened "TUS Science Days 2020", and the Vice-Rector, Prof. Dr. Eng. Valeri Stoilov, presented all the scientific events included in the program for the period May-November 2020 – a total of thirty-one events, of which sixteen are indexed in SCOPUS.
"I am very pleased to welcome you with the opening of "TUS Science Days 2020" – said the Rector of the university, Prof. Dr. Eng. Ivan Králov, in his address. For 75 years, our university has been creating and establishing high standards for education and scientific research in the country and the region. "TUS Science Days" annually gathers and includes more than 30 forums organized by leading research directions in our university. The broad international participation and the interdisciplinary nature of the research presented, the presence of numerous companies that not only sponsor these forums but also actively participate in the developments are a clear proof that "TUS Science Days 2020" is a platform for the real transfer of knowledge, technology from science and the academic community to business, regions and society".
