On January 24, 2022, an extraordinary General Assembly of the Technical University – Sofia was held remotely in an electronic environment. At the convened General Assembly (GA), the necessary changes to the Regulations on the Organization and Activities of TU – Sofia, related to the voting method in elections, were adopted, in accordance with a decision of the Supreme Administrative Court of December 16, 2021.
On January 25, 2022, an in-person secret vote was held to elect the Rector of the Technical University – Sofia with two candidates for Rector of TU – Sofia: Prof. Dr. Eng. Valentin Kolev and Prof. Dr. Eng. Ivan Králov. Of the 532 members of the GA who voted, 349 cast their vote for Prof. Dr. Eng. Ivan Králov, and 135 for Prof. Dr. Eng. Valentin Kolev.
