From July 11th to 13th, the EUt+ week took place at the campus of Troyes University of Technology. The focus of the last in-person meeting before the summer was the European research of the EUt+ alliance. During the week in Troyes, over 120 representatives of the partner universities of EUt+, including faculty, researchers, post-doctoral fellows, doctoral students, students, and administrative staff, participated in working groups and informal discussions related to the implementation of EUt+ tasks.
Technical University – Sofia, a main and equal partner in the EUt+ alliance, was represented by a team of researchers led by Assoc. Dr. Eng. Lidia Galbova.
The working meetings with Bulgarian participation were:
-STYX project working group, coordinated by Troyes University of Technology, which covered activities on studying the possibility of legal status for European unions and the European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation and
-Ethico project working group, led by Dublin Technological University, which covered the development of innovative, ethical, and ecological teaching methods with a view to their transfer to various disciplines at the university, as well as art, humanities, social sciences, engineering, and natural sciences.
Two scientific events were held, organized by the European research institutes:
-“Introduction to Quantum Technologies” from the Institute of Nanomaterials and Nanotechnology of the European Technological University (EUTINN), led by Christophe Couto, Director of the L2n - CNRS-EMR 7004 Research Department (Light, Nanomaterials and Nanotechnology) and
"Data Science and Applications for European Researchers and Doctoral Students" by the European Research Institute Data Science Lab, led by Prof. Hichem Snoussi, Deputy Director of the LIST3N Research Department (Laboratory for Computer Science and Digital Society).
The meeting in Troia is another event on the EUt+ calendar, and its results demonstrate an upgrade in working relationships within the project led by Timote Turi. The deepening connections, diligent and fruitful work over the past 3 years have led to high results and recognition from the European Commission, showing that collaboration within EUT+ is at a very high level.
Following the week in Troia, work on the outlined trajectories continues at the regional level, but with "People First" in mind. Think Human First!
