At an official ceremony in the "Prof. Tsvetan Lazarov" Hall, the Chairman of the General Assembly of the Technical University – Sofia – Prof. Dr. Eng. Georgi Todorov presented the gown and badge to Prof. Králov, symbols that give strength, health, and prosperity and lead the university forward in the next four-year term.
Prof. Dr. Eng. Ivan Králov will be the Rector of the Technical University – Sofia for a second term. In his brief speech, Prof. Todorov emphasized that the past term was full of challenges, but at the same time, an exceptionally rich research and laboratory base was built, many achievements were made in research activities, and the salaries of teachers and staff were significantly increased. "The main capital of the Technical University – Sofia is the teachers, everyone who works, scientists, employees, motivated to become a European university with high research goals and achievements. We are already part of the European Technological University EUt+ network, which gives us the confidence to move forward and succeed even more. Let us have health, success, and chart a bright future for our university."
Prof. Todorov then gave the floor to Prof. Králov, who greeted the members of the Academic Council, faculty deans, and staff present in the hall.

It is an extraordinary honor for me to have the pleasure and your support to continue leading the Technical University – Sofia. For me, this is not just a cause, not just a mission, but an essential part of my life. I want to thank you for the support you have given me, providing me with the opportunity for a second time to hold this position, rector for a second term. I also want to congratulate you for actively committing to work for the university, for the future of the country, and for Bulgarian society. For the young people who will become specialists, who tomorrow will be the driving force of our country, our economy, who will build upon and enhance what we have achieved so far. The development of engineering sciences, which humanity has and needs in the future. Many more words could be said about what has passed. Some achievements were mentioned by Prof. Todorov, but no less important are the tasks that lie ahead of us. I am convinced that with joint efforts and desire, we will achieve even better results in the next term. We can only wish for health, health, and again health. Good luck and many years to all!
After the official part of the ceremony, Prof. Todorov presented the members of the newly elected Academic and Control Council. They voted secretly and elected deputy rectors:
Prof. Dr. Georgi Venkov – Deputy Rector for Educational Activities, Accreditation, and Academic Staff;
Prof. Dr. Eng. Lidia Galabova – Deputy Rector for International Activities and Integration;
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Rosen Radonov – Deputy Rector for E-Governance and Coordination;
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Elitsa Gieva – Deputy Rector for Scientific and Applied Activities.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nikola Shakev was elected as Director of the Branch of the Technical University - Sofia in the city of Plovdiv.
The Rector of the Technical University – Sofia, Prof. Dr. Eng. Ivan Kralov congratulated the newly elected deputy rectors and the Director of the University's branch in Plovdiv and wished them successful work.
