
New Danubian governance for alignment between higher education and the labor market, contract DTP1-1-115-4.1
Technical University – Sofia together with the Ministry of Education and Science, the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce, the Institute for the Study of Societies and Knowledge at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, the municipality of Vratsa and the municipality of Vidin, participates in the international INTERREG project “EDU-LAB – New Danubian Governance in Labour Market Relevance of Higher Education (Ново дунавско управление за постигане на съответствие между висшето образование и пазара на труда), contract DTP1-1-115-4.1.
The project is funded by the European Union (ERDF and IPA) under the Transnational Cooperation Programme - Danube Programme, in which the Republic of Bulgaria participates during the period 2014 – 2020. EDU-LAB aims to improve the professional opportunities of young people from the Danube region. The project involves more than 20 partner organizations from 10 countries, the project started on 01.01.2017 and has a duration of 2.5 years.
The starting point for the development of a new framework of thinking is capacity building. EDU-LAD brings together partners from higher education, business organizations, the public sector and politicians. This joint learning process will also include the participation of civil society. A new governance model will be developed under the project with the aim of creating a binding commitment from the 'Danube Charter for Young Talents'.
The project involves teachers from the Faculty of German Engineering Education and Industrial Management (FaGIOPM) and the Faculty of Economics.
