
Bulgaria has marked 10 years of participation in the Shell Eco-marathon Europe, a competition for energy-efficient solutions in transport.
With fireworks, cake, and a traditional circle dance in the "Arena Army" hall, our country celebrated 10 years of participation in the Shell Eco-marathon Europe – the only competition of its kind, aimed at inspiring future scientists and engineers to develop energy-efficient solutions in transport. At the ceremony (May 10), the teams participating in this year's Shell Eco-marathon 2017, May 25-28 in London: the team from the Technical University - Sofia, which will compete in the "Urban Concept" category with a hydrogen fuel cell, and both Bulgarian teams in the other category – "Prototypes" with electric battery – RUS "Angel Kanchev" and PG of Agriculture, Forestry and Tourism "N. Y. Vaptsarov" – Chepelare, demonstrated their new cars.

The Technical University – Sofia also celebrated its 10th anniversary. On this occasion, Assoc. Prof. Borislav Traykov, head of the first Bulgarian team, shared memories and emotions. During this period, students and PhD students from TU 3 times have taken the prestigious second place in Europe in their "Urban Concept" category, where their record is 229.2 km/km3.
