On January 17, 2025, representatives of TU – Sofia – Silviya Borislavova, Head of the "Academic Department", Didie Angelova, Senior Expert in the "Academic Department", and Assistant Professor Dr. Neli Sirakova from the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Informatics, visited the "Hristo Botev" Secondary School in Devin. The "Hristo Botev" Secondary School is the largest educational institution in the municipality and a central school where over 500 students from grades I to XII are enrolled, including 50 students in grade XII across two profiles – "Mathematics" and "Natural Sciences". The meeting was organized at the invitation of the school's management – Kapa Besheva-Rahneva, Director, and Veselin Poryazov, Deputy Director for Academic Affairs, and aimed to introduce students to the study opportunities at TU – Sofia.
Silviya Borislavova gave a presentation to prospective graduates, detailing the specialties offered by TU – Sofia and its branches in Plovdiv and Sliven, the application and admission procedures, the schedule for candidate-student exams, the academic and research infrastructure, social and living conditions, and career prospects for students. Assistant Professor Dr. Neli Sirakova explained the content of the mathematics test and the procedure for taking it. Following this, students and teachers had the opportunity to ask questions and received comprehensive answers on all topics of interest. At the end of the meeting, the school director, Mrs. Kapa Besheva-Rahneva, warmly thanked the TU – Sofia representatives for their visit and the information provided, which will help students make informed choices regarding their future profession, specialty, and university.
