
Under the TAIEX DG NEAR Programme - a technical assistance and information exchange instrument of the European Commission that supports public administrations in the approximation and implementation of EU legislation, as well as facilitates the sharing of EU best practices, faculty members from the Engineering University - Baku, Azerbaijan, were on a working visit (19.02.), organized and funded by the EC. The colleagues from Baku had a series of meetings with faculty members and representatives of the administration of Technical University – Sofia, UNSS, Sofia Tech Park; Industrial Zone Thrace - Plovdiv and laboratories of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
At the meeting at TU, organized by the Directorate "International Exchange and Integration", the guests spoke with Prof. Ivan Králov, Prof. Ivan Yachev, representatives of NIS, deans, and the Career Center, after which they visited the laboratories for outstanding achievements in the Faculty of Mechanical and Technological Engineering.
The goal was to present the experience of good management practices in the transfer of innovative management approaches and practices from education to business and the ways in which they cooperate. The established good contacts of our university with industry were a good example for the colleagues from Azerbaijan.
