
On 17.04.2023, Atanas Pekanov, Deputy Prime Minister for the Management of European Funds, and representatives of the Executive Agency "Education Program" visited the National Center for Mechatronics and Clean Technologies, established on the premises of the Technical University – Sofia. Atanas Pekanov was received by Prof. Dr. Eng. Ivan Králov, Rector of TU – Sofia, and by Prof. Dr. Eng. Georgi Todorov, Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Technologies and Chairman of the General Assembly of TU – Sofia, who acquainted him with the laboratories located in the Center.
Atanas Pekanov was highly impressed by the modern scientific infrastructure, built in accordance with the National Development Plan "Bulgaria 2030", which will ensure the country's full participation in the European Research Area. This infrastructure not only stimulates the conduct of high-quality research activities but also contributes to retaining highly qualified personnel in the country, attracting young scientists, and stimulating international cooperation. The guest was also thoroughly acquainted with the Center's work plans, which are closely linked to business requirements, and their implementation will contribute to the accelerated economic and social development of the country.
