
The "Scientific Research" Fund (SRF) under the Ministry of Education and Science (MES) issues a call for applications under the Procedure for providing national co-financing for the participation of Bulgarian teams in approved actions of the European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST) programme (www.cost.eu). The objective of the procedure is to create conditions for full and effective participation of Bulgaria in the COST programme competitions in the field of scientific research and technologies and to strengthen the presence of the academic community in this programme.
Eligible applicants for participation in the procedure are:
1) accredited higher education institutions under Article 85, paragraph 1, item 7 of the Higher Education Act, which are accredited by the National Accreditation Agency to conduct training at the educational and scientific degree of "doctor"
2) scientific organizations under Article 47, paragraph 1 of the Higher Education Act, which are accredited by the National Accreditation Agency to conduct training at the educational and scientific degree of "doctor"
Evaluation Criteria: The condition for co-financing the participation of a Bulgarian team in a given action is a positive decision by the Action's Management Committee to include the Bulgarian partner and the approval of the same action by the Council of the Program's High Representatives.
The maximum amount of co-financing is up to 20,000 BGN per year. The maximum duration of the co-financing agreement is two years. Upon completion of the agreement, and in case the action has not concluded and the participation of the Bulgarian team is planned, the project leader may reapply for the remaining time until the end of the Action, after submitting a report on the completed agreement.
Deadline for submission of proposals – open-ended. Proposals should be submitted to the Registry Office of the FNI at 239B Aleksandar Stamboliyski Blvd., Sofia, 3rd floor.
