Signing a contract with Lakehead University, Canada

On 26.01.2024, at the Technical University – Sofia, the rector of the university, Prof. Dr. Eng. Ivan Králov, and Dr. David Barnett, rector and vice-president of Lakehead University, Canada, signed an online memorandum of cooperation.

Prof. Králov expressed satisfaction with the signing of this agreement and stated that we have had relatively long-term educational and scientific ties with Lakehead University since 2015, based on the Erasmus+ program sponsored by the European Commission. During this period of cooperation, the two institutions exchanged students and academic staff, became familiar with the training programs, he noted.

"We believe that the exchanges and visits were successful and beneficial for science, as well as for the development of education between the two universities. We are pleased that we are entering a new stage that will contribute to strengthening the connection; I believe the future is ahead of us and we will have many reasons for concrete initiatives – exchange of scientific programs, innovations, ideas, and engineering opportunities between the two universities," Prof. Králov noted. He invited Dr. Barnett to visit the Technical University – Sofia.

Dr. David Barnett emphasized that he was satisfied with the implementation of this agreement and highlighted the importance of the development of science on a global scale in the name of the good for humanity and its development.
