For contributions to scientific research and establishing the authority of the Technical University, Eng. BSc. Boncho Vurshokov, MTF received (28.02.) the Honorary Certificate of the Research Sector for participation and leadership in the project "Development of a Formula Student type racing car".
Since 2015, Bulgaria also has its own racing team, a group of students from the Technical University - Sofia, united by the cause to create their own product and ignite interest in engineering specialties, which participated in the Formula Student edition in the summer of 2016. Through their work on the project, they proved that education and business can be mutually beneficial and that it is high time for the link between the two to work more actively here as well. Their goal is to build a formula car to compete in countries such as Germany, England, Italy, Hungary, etc., against top universities from all over the world and to prove that Bulgaria has good young engineers and world-class production!
Our team successfully qualified for the Formula SAE Italy & Formula Electric Italy 2017 competition, which will take place from July 19th to 23rd, 2017, at the "Riccardo Paletti" circuit in Italy. There, they will compete in class 1C (internal combustion engines), aiming to improve their results and ranking from last year in competition with the best.
