
10 years after its establishment in 2014, "Milara – Center for Robotics and Automation" was modernized and furnished with robots and test benches of the latest generation from the product range of "Milara International". Specifically for the Plovdiv Branch of the Technical University - Sofia, 6 test benches for controlling electric drives were manufactured, which will allow students to familiarize themselves in detail with the configuration, programming, and tuning of robotic systems. The laboratory is also equipped with 3 workstations with specialized robots used in the production of electronic chips.

The Rector of the Technical University - Sofia, Prof. Dr. Eng. Ivan Kralov, emphasized the importance of such joint projects between the university and the business sector, as it is precisely these developments that contribute to the training of successful, professional personnel, which the economy needs. According to Prof. Kralov, this gives reason to be proud that truly prepared young specialists are being created, keeping pace with the requirements of business and modern technologies. Corresponding Member of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Prof. Dr. Eng. Georgi Todorov, Chairman of the General Assembly of the Technical University - Sofia, was also present at the opening.

The new equipment provides students and PhD students at the Plovdiv Branch of the Technical University - Sofia with the opportunity to learn about modern technologies implemented in the production facilities of leading companies in the semiconductor industry, which are technological giants in the USA, Europe, and Asia. The renovated robotics center will also be used in the development of new scientific research and projects, said the Branch Director, Assoc. Prof. Nikola Shakev, at the opening.

Both owners and founders of "Milara International" Eng. Krasimir Petkov and Yordan Naydenov were present. Eng. Petkov emphasized that the renovated center is equipped with state-of-the-art technologies, the result of years of work and research, and the regional governor of Plovdiv, Prof. Hristina Yancheva, congratulated the representatives of "Milara International" and the Technical University - Sofia for the mission they have set for themselves – to attract young people to science and new technologies.
The Deputy Minister of Innovation and Growth, Prof. Georgi Angelov, also attended the opening ceremony of the "Milara - Center for Automation and Robotics". He stated that there are all grounds for Bulgaria to develop in step with global technological trends. The Technical University - Sofia is a leading university in engineering specialties, preparing exceptionally successful specialists, and interest in technical specialties will continue to grow every year, he added.
Company "Milara International" is one of the longest-standing and most successful partners of the Technical University - Sofia, Plovdiv Branch. At the opening of the renovated Robotics Center, the two owners of "Milara International" – Eng. Krasimir Petkov and Yordan Naydenov were awarded a certificate for successful cooperation and an honorary plaque for their significant contribution to the development and establishment of the Branch of the Technical University - Sofia.

With the support of "Milara International", the student club's robotics laboratory at the Technical University - Sofia, Plovdiv Branch, was renovated and modernized. The University also received as a donation an electric vehicle of the "Sevik 500" brand, produced in the new "Milara International" plant in Plovdiv.
