
The deadline for registration for the "BAIT Awards" for 2017 is approaching.
Up to this point, there have been 42 registrations in all categories of the competition.
The most applications - 10, have been submitted in theEducational Award, which is traditionally the most contested category. There are 9 registered participants in the new category for this edition of the competition, theSuccessful Bulgarian ICT Product“. In it, candidates for distinction are companies with their own products that position the Bulgarian ICT industry on the global market.
Invitation to teachers and students/schoolchildren to participate in the competition BAIT Awards for 2017 for significant contribution to the development of information and communication technologies.
By tradition, the campaign and ceremony are held under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Rumen Radev. This edition of the competition is also under the auspices of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
Your teachers, students, and schoolchildren have the opportunity to apply in two of the categories - Educational Award and Youth Award.
The Educational Award aims to recognize individuals/teams that produce personnel for the ICT industry and/or innovations in education, within the framework of 2017. The category is open to private and state educational institutions and initiatives.
The winners so far in this category have been: 2016 - Software University EOOD, 2015 - Vratsa Software Society, 2014 - Software University EOOD; 2013 - Uchit.se; 2012 - Telerik Academy; 2011 - NIMERO EOOD.
In the category Youth Award can participate students and scholars, independently or as part of a team, who are studying at a Bulgarian educational institution and have implemented a project in the field of ICT within 2017.
The winners so far in the category are: 2016 - Zvezdin Besarabov /student/, 2015 - ICT Club with the project "Smart Glove" - Valkyrie, 2014 - Ivan Atanasov from the University of Library Studies and Information Technologies; 2013 - a team from MGU and Desislav Kuzmanov from TU Sofia; 2012 - Denislav Lefterov from PU and Zdravko Velinov from TU Sofia; 2011 - a team from MGU.
This year, awards will be presented in 11 categories: Educational Award, Youth Award, Journalist Award, State Administration, Municipal Administration, Start-Up Company, Successful Bulgarian ICT Product, Significant Corporate ICT Project, Innovative Company in the Use of Cutting-Edge ICT Solutions, Company with the Greatest Contribution to Promoting the Image of the Bulgarian ICT Industry Worldwide, and Award for Special Contribution.
The winners in each category will receive a prize item provided by Opel, as well as a voucher from Siela Norma, which can be used to purchase books at Siela bookstores.
The recipient of the Award for Special Contribution will receive the use of an Opel Insignia car for one week and a weekend for two in Bansko.
