In the "Prof. Tsvetan Lazarov" Hall, a special award ceremony was held for the most outstanding researchers of the Technical University - Sofia during the past 2024.
The Deputy Rector for Scientific and Applied Activities, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Elitsa Gieva, presented to the Rector of the Technical University - Sofia, Prof. Dr. Eng. Ivan Kralov, the special award "For exceptional contribution to the scientific research sector of TU - Sofia".
The most outstanding researchers were awarded in the following categories:
1. Award "For Innovations and Patents" - Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Yavor Sofronov;
2. Award "For Business Partnership" - Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Mosko Aladzhem;
3. Award "For the Most Cited Scientific Publication" - Prof. Dr. Eng. Dilyana Gospodinova;
4. Prof. Dr. Eng. Vladimir Pulkov received an award in the category "Article from the last 3 years, most cited in 2024". The award was accepted by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Agata Manolova, Dean of the Faculty of Telecommunications;
5. Award "For the Largest Number of Publications in Peer-Reviewed Journals" - Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Maria Pandieva.
She has 9 articles in journals in 2024;
6. Award "For the young scientist with the best publication activity" - Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Tsvetan Valkovski, Faculty of Telecommunications;
7. Award "For the best interdisciplinary publication" - Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Adelina Vasileva - Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Instrumentation, Technical University - Sofia, Plovdiv Branch.
8. Award "For a scientific publication in the field of sustainable development" - Prof. Dr. Eng. Rositsa Velichkova;
9. Award "For the highest h-index (Scopus/WoS)" - Prof. Dr. Eng. Silviya Boycheva;
10. Award "For the most successful scientific forum - AMEE 2024" - Prof. Dr. Eng. Desislava Ivanova;
11. Award "For the most funds attracted from an international project" - Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Dimitar Nikolov, with the project - "Creating Higher-Education Industry Programmes for the Semiconductor Industry of Europe";
12. Award "For Contribution to Scientific Research and Establishing the Authority of the Technical University - Sofia" - Corresponding Member, Prof. Dr. Eng. Georgi Todorov.
The ceremony concluded with wishes for new victories in scientific rankings, which would place the Technical University - Sofia among the top positions in the most successfully implemented projects and research in the field of engineering sciences.
