
A delegation of representatives from German family companies visited the National Center for Mechatronics and Clean Technologies at the Technical University of Sofia, Student City Campus.
The visit, organized by the German-Bulgarian Industrial and Commercial Chamber in cooperation with Familienunternehmer e.V., aims to introduce German companies to business opportunities in Bulgaria and facilitate direct contacts with Bulgarian family enterprises. The German companies operate in the fields of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, the chemical industry, and services – key sectors for industrial development and innovation.

At the National Center for Mechatronics and Clean Technologies, the German delegation was welcomed by Prof. Konstantin Kamberov and Assoc. Prof. Mikhail Zagorski from the Faculty of Industrial Technologies – leading researchers at the Center of Excellence. They presented the Center's activities and the collaboration opportunities with business that it offers. Representatives of German business toured the laboratories and research centers where researchers and students work together and saw concrete results of the research and innovation activities of TU-Sofia.

Deputy Rector for International Activities and Integration Prof. Liya Galabova presented opportunities for education, research, and the university's participation in contemporary European initiatives.
The Faculty for German Engineering Education and Industrial Management at TU-Sofia was presented by Dean Prof. Marin Marinov as an established example of a successful Bulgarian-German intergovernmental project and the longest-running initiative of the German Academic Exchange Service abroad.
The visit reinforces German business interest in Bulgaria and opens new perspectives for partnerships, knowledge exchange, and technology transfer between the two countries.
