With a decision of the Academic Council of the Technical University of Sofia dated 27.04.2016 in FaG IOPM a new specialty is introduced "Mechatronics and Information Technology".
The bachelor's and master's programs in the new specialty are conducted jointly with our partner university - Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT)The fundamental preparation covers disciplines from the following areas: Technical Mechanics, Fundamentals of Design, Mechatronic Systems, Communication Systems in Mechatronics, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Measuring and Control Technology, etc.
During the specialization phase, students can set their own accents in their preparation by choosing main subjects and disciplines. Students receive a Bachelor of Engineering diploma from TU Sofia and the corresponding diploma from KIT, provided they study for 1 semester or prepare their thesis at KIT, for which they can receive a scholarship.
