The Faculty of Economics at the Technical University – Sofia has started training in the highly prestigious master's program "Management and Business Information Systems" this academic year. The program is designed for professionals from the real sector who wish to develop and acquire knowledge and skills in both management and business information systems. For this reason, classes in the master's program are held outside of working hours.
The offered master's program was developed as a result of consultations with businesses and is tailored to their actual needs, with some lecturers being representatives of high-tech companies that develop and implement information systems. The curriculum includes three groups of academic disciplines forming the specializations: "Information Support for Modern Business and ERP"; "Information Systems for Remote Collaboration"; and "Intelligent Systems for Business Analytics (Business Intelligence & Data Analytics)".
The master's program will be offered in two forms – full-time and part-time, with state-funded students also being admitted to the full-time program.
The requirement for state-funded applicants is that they have not previously completed another master's program funded by the state.
The master's program lasts one year for graduates of specialties from the groups of Technical Sciences, Informatics and Computer Science, Public Communications and Information Sciences, Administration and Management, and Economics, and two years for candidates who have completed other bachelor's or master's programs.
