The "Eureka" Award for Young Inventor 2016 "FOR ACHIEVEMENTS IN SCIENCE" was awarded (26.01.) to Svetoslav Stoev, PhD student at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Technology. It was granted to him as co-author of the invention "System for preventing incorrect operator switching of the contact system for electrical cabinets with removable chassis with mechanical drive", registered as a utility model at the Patent Office of the Republic of Bulgaria.
Eng. Svetoslav Stoev played a significant role in modeling and building virtual prototypes, using the methods and tools of virtual engineering, of the created contact system for electrical cabinets with removable chassis with mechanical drive, verification of the created models, validation of parameters, using a created prototype and subsequent optimization of functional parameters, which served as the basis for creating a functional model of an innovative contact system.
During the ceremonial event, it was noted that the most awards over the years have been won by graduates of TU - Sofia.
