
The 2020/2021 academic year for the Master's degree at the Technical University – Sofia begins on 12.10.2020. Traditionally, during the new academic year, graduates with a Bachelor's and Master's degree who wish to continue their higher education can apply to over 65 Master's programs offered across the fourteen faculties of TU-Sofia. The study programs have been revised in accordance with the new reference frameworks set by the academic management, with the duration of study reduced from one and a half and two and a half years to one year and two years. Some of the new and interesting Master's programs are: "Embedded Control Systems" at the Faculty of Automation, "Electric Energy from Renewable Energy Sources" at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, "Microtechnologies and Nanoengineering" - a joint program of the Faculty of Electronic Engineering and Technologies and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, "Innovative Communication Technologies and Entrepreneurship" - in Bulgarian and English at the Faculty of Telecommunications, in collaboration with Aalborg University, Denmark, "Medical Engineering" at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, "Graphic and Web Design" at the Faculty of Computer Systems and Technologies, "Project Management", "Senior Management" and "Management and Business Information Systems" at the Faculty of Economics, "Analysis of Large Data Sets and Data Streams" at the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Informatics. This year, there are 3 protected specialties in the Master's degree: "Thermal Engineering" and "Nuclear Engineering" at the Faculty of Energy Machinery Engineering and "Applied Mathematics" at the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Informatics. At faculties offering instruction in a foreign language, the Master's degree programs are conducted in German, French, and English, respectively.
