Over 160 companies participated in the 3-day "Internships 2026" Forum at the Technical University – Sofia

Sofia/ 07.04.2026 - Nearly 100 of the largest employers in Bulgaria and hundreds of students met in Sofia at the largest career event in Bulgaria – the "Internships 2026" Forum, organized by the Technical University – Sofia.

With each subsequent edition, interest in the event grows – more established and innovative companies are joining, and students take their first confident steps towards professional realization.

The 14th edition of the forum brought together companies from all sectors of the Bulgarian industry, ready to find their future interns, employees, and managers. Students exchanged ideas and inspiration for their dream careers with their future employers.

"Graduates of the Technical University – Sofia are sought-after and desirable personnel both nationally and internationally. They stand out for their high level of training, practical skills, and adaptability to a dynamically changing technological environment. This is exactly what makes them the preferred choice for leading companies and organizations," said at the opening of the forum the Deputy Rector for International Activities and Integration, Prof. Lidia Galabova. Also present was the Deputy Rector for Academic Affairs and Accreditation, Prof. Milena Lazarova.

Business also sent a message to students. Aneliya Dimova from "SOFT Connect", Dariusz Nowak – Director of "Safety and Quality" at Kozloduy NPP, and Velina Lilianova from "Melexis Bulgaria" urged future engineers to be active and seek opportunities for development.

By tradition, the "Internships" Forum is not limited to Sofia alone. The event lasts three days – on 8.04 at the branch of the Technical University in Plovdiv and on 9.04 – in Sliven, to reach even more young people across the country.  

Plovdiv / 08.04.2026 - Nearly 50 of the largest employers in Plovdiv and the region participated in the Plovdiv edition of the "Internship Forum"ove". The event was opened by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alexander Mitov – Director of the Directorate "International Activities, Cooperation and Integration" at Technical University - Sofia, who emphasized the need for the educational process to be increasingly closely linked to the real needs of the industry. The focus was on the importance of quality technical education, practical training, and active dialogue with employers, which contributes to higher quality of education and better career prospects for students. For the first time, on the initiative of the management of Technical University - Sofia, Plovdiv Branch, within the exhibition bea separate career counseling zone not only for students but also for high school students. Experts from institutions and career centers provided guidance on job applications, resume preparation, and choosing a professional path.

Sliven/ 09.04.2026 - The Faculty and College - Sliven of the Technical University - Sofia hosted the 14th exhibition of the "Internships 2026" forum, which TU - Sofia has established over the years as a significant platform for meeting between education and business.
Students, teachers, and representatives of various companies and institutions from the region participated in the initiative, united by the goal of establishing a closer link between academic training and professional practice.
The event created opportunities for career guidance, useful contacts, and exchange of ideas related to internship programs, professional training, and future employment. Such initiatives are of essential importance for building an active and sustainable relationship between the university, students, and employers.
