On April 25, 2023, diplomas were ceremoniously awarded to over 120 graduates – bachelors from the 2022 graduating class of the Faculty of Computer Systems and Technologies at the Aula of the Technical University – Sofia.
The ceremony was opened by Prof. Dr. Eng. Daniela Gotscheva, Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, who congratulated the graduates: "Dear graduates, on this solemn day, you embark on your professional path with a diploma from the best university in the country. Thank you to your parents for entrusting you to us; you have become our children as well. You have successfully coped, acquired knowledge and skills, and developed over these years. Be happy and proud, rejoice in your achievements, just as we will rejoice in your successes."
The Rector of TU – Sofia, Prof. Dr. Eng. Ivan Králov, congratulated the graduates on behalf of the academic leadership and in his own words: "Dear young colleagues, there are days that are remembered for a lifetime; this day is exactly such a day and will remain in the history of the Technical University – Sofia. Be proud because you are now part of the technical elite of the nation. But continue to learn, because knowledge is a power that gives independence, and pass on your knowledge to others. Continue to dream and turn your dreams into reality. Thank you to your parents, because they have made the best investment for you – in knowledge; they will continue to support you in the future, and you should support them as well. Let us together build the future of the nation and work for a better society. Thank you also to the representatives of business, who not only motivate our students but also provide material assistance and actively participate in their training. Thank you to the lecturers, without whom the achieved high results would not have been possible, as well as to the faculty staff. Dear graduates, do not forget your lecturers and your university. Be healthy, good luck, and many happy years!"
The Dean of FCST, Prof. Dr. Eng. Ognyan Nakov, addressed the graduates with the words: "Dear young colleagues, I am proud that we can send off another graduating class of our graduates. You have grown immensely over these four years; now you are the most sought-after qualified personnel in the IT sector, and the faculty and the university have contributed to this. Producing such personnel has become a tradition for our faculty over the last 25 years; our students are first in the integrated assessment in the rating system of the Ministry of Education and Science. Large companies are in Bulgaria and await you, but Bulgarian programmers are sought after all over the world. Our faculty is developing; we have introduced new specialties, achieved even closer integration with business, and with its help, we have updated the material base, included it in the educational process, so that you can master new technologies and what is needed in practice. Be proud that you have graduated from this university and this faculty. I wish you success!"
Congratulations to the students were delivered by Ms. Elena Marinova, President of "Musala Soft," and Mr. Danko Valkov, Manager at KPMG IT Service.
After the greetings, the graduates took the Galilean oath. The ceremony continued with the awarding of diplomas, with the top students receiving them from the Rector of TU – Sofia, Prof. Ivan Králov, along with medals, certificates, and monetary awards.
The ceremony was attended by deputy deans and faculty members from FST, as well as relatives and friends of the happy graduates.
