At the Technical University, we rely heavily on the socio-economic development of our country, because in the coming years it will be even more predetermined by technological transformations, by the mutual penetration of digital and real industries. With these words, the Minister of Education and Science, Krastimir Valkov, welcomed the participants in the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Faculty of Industrial Technologies at the Technical University-Sofia.
In his address to the Rector of TU, Prof. Dr. Georgi Venkov, and the Dean, Prof. Georgi Todorov, as well as all former rectors who attended the celebration, he pointed out that the scientists at this university can help Bulgaria to be better positioned on the map of these industries. Minister Valkov also noted that all higher education institutions are important for different sectors and regions.
He expressed gratitude to the rectors of technical higher education institutions and scientific organizations that help the Ministry of Education and Science formulate the most important policies in the sector. He congratulated the higher education institution for attracting an increasing number of applicants and students, as well as the fact that they achieve higher results in the state maturity exams.
