Sometimes the words "inspiration," "knowledge," and "light" come alive not in slogans, but in specific individuals. This is the case with our student Andon Atanasov from the Faculty of Engineering Pedagogy – Sliven at the Technical University – Sofia, who, through hard work, perseverance, and faith in knowledge, has achieved international recognition.
On August 25, 2025, in Astana, Kazakhstan, he was awarded two gold medals at the International Competition "Best Student 2025," organized by the International Research Center "ENDLESS LIGHT in SCIENCE" (ELS). The competition aims to honor young people who carry within themselves the spirit of the discoverer and the awakener. Those who learn, seek the meaning of knowledge, and turn it into action.
ELS is an international scientific community that unites scientists, teachers, and researchers from various countries and conducts research in the fields of natural, technical, humanities, and social sciences. The center supports young talents by giving them the opportunity to express their scientific and professional potential on the world stage.
Andon, who is simultaneously studying two specialties in the master's programs – "Preschool and Primary School Pedagogy" and "Pedagogy of Teaching Mathematics, Physics, and Informatics," is an example of a young person who is not afraid to dream big and to pursue his goal persistently. His distinction is not just a personal success; it is a sign of the strength of education, the spirit of the Faculty of Engineering Pedagogy – Sliven, and the mission of every true awakener.
On the eve of November 1 – the Day of the National Awakeners, we congratulate Andon for inspiring, awakening, and proving through his achievements that knowledge is a light that never fades.
Congratulations, Andon! Continue to be the voice of youth, the drive for knowledge, and an example for all of us!
