The Ministry of Innovations and Growth promotes the implementation of innovations, which are very often based on purely scientific and engineering achievements. It is extremely important to stimulate all aspects of applied sciences, as most achievements are related, directly or indirectly, to university and academic research ideas. This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Innovations and Growth, Prof. Georgi Angelov, at the XXIII International Scientific Conference "Management and Engineering" – ISCME’25. The event took place within the framework of the "Days of Science" forum at the Technical University of Sofia.
"In addition to accumulating scientific capacity according to ranking criteria, the pursuit of recognizability and establishment in the academic community is also important, whose expression in the field of management and engineering is today's conference. This facilitates the establishment of partnerships and achieving results with the possibility of real applications," Prof. Angelov added.
During the conference, representatives of the academic community and business exchanged knowledge and innovative ideas regarding contemporary trends in management, engineering, communication and information technologies, e-business, innovations, and entrepreneurship.
Also present at the event were the Rector, Prof. Dr. Eng. Georgi Venkov, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Prof. Dr. Yordanka Angelova, representatives of the academic community, and managers of companies in Bulgaria.
