SolarBlindsis an intelligent system of external blinds with integrated solar panels that simultaneously provide shade and generate electrical energy. The blinds can be installed on both residential and commercial buildings, thus providing a universal and eco-friendly solution.
The project started at the end of last year, when the students participated in another competition. At that time, they realized the potential for developing the idea and decided to continue working on it within theInnovation Academy, where a few weeks ago they reached the final stage.
"Developing this project is a big challenge," they share, "but in the coming months this will be our main goal – to make it even more effective and useful."
"At this stage, we use solar panels purchased by us, which are placed directly on the blinds that provide shade. They generate electricity, which we currently store in a battery. This energy can be used both at home and in the office," they add.
S SolarBlinds, Denis, Iviyan, and Alexander propose a smart combination of sustainability and functionality – a solution that not only reduces the need for air conditioning but also contributes to a greener future by harnessing solar energy.
