Students and faculty from the Faculty of Engineering Pedagogy (FEP) in Sliven, part of the Technical University of Sofia, were the third group to visit Arsenal AD on May 21, as part of the annual Open Doors initiative organized by the company. FEP in Sliven has been a long-term partner of the largest machinery company, with 30 Arsenal employees currently pursuing master's programs there. The guests were led by the head of FEP and College-Sliven, Assoc. Dr. Vanyo Ivanov. The young people and their teachers visited the company museum and workshops 250 and 400 in Plant 1, and 600 in Plant 5, as well as the dedicated production facility of Plant 11 in Stara Zagora, which is the most robotized industrial enterprise in the country. The guests were introduced to some of the technological processes and the company's history.
"Arsenal" AD, its director of Human Resources Aneta Dimitrova, and the head of the Education, Qualification, and Career Development department, Eng. Vladimir Chuchumishev, spoke about the opportunities for professional realization and career development offered by the company, its significant importance for economic prosperity and development, as well as the dynamic development of Kazanlak and the municipality.
The main focus of the "Arsenal" AD presentation was its long-standing policy regarding active programs aimed at education. The company has a strategic partnership with leading universities in the country, especially technical universities. Students have excellent opportunities to participate in the current scholarship program, as well as summer and annual internships. The guests were thoroughly informed about the conditions, application deadlines, and support provided to future young specialists through these programs. A key highlight of the presentation was the summer internships in July and August. Participants will gain practical experience, defend a project they have worked on, working full-time for eight weeks, enjoying all benefits and bonuses, as well as signing a regular employment contract like other Arsenal employees. Another important aspect was the presentation of the scholarship program, for which applications can be submitted until early September. "Arsenal" AD covers all semester fees for candidates approved under the program, accommodation costs, provides scholarships, including at European universities, and guarantees employment for at least five years after graduation, according to a bilateral agreement. Current offers for this year are in the following specialties: "Mechanical Engineering," "Electrical Engineering, Electronics, and Automation," "Communications and Computer Engineering," "Metallurgy," and "Chemical Technologies."
