The Rector of the Technical University (TU) in Sofia, Prof. Dr. Georgi Venkov, and the Rector of the National University of Itapúa - Universidad Nacional de Itapúa UNI, in Paraguay, Prof. Hermenegildo Kohene Velásquez, signed a memorandum of cooperation. This was announced by the higher education institution on its website.
The cooperation will be carried out in academic and scientific research activities, in the development of joint international projects, in the organization of scientific forums, and in the establishment of centers of excellence in the fields of digitalization, information and communication technologies, and artificial intelligence.
Prof. Kohene Velásquez is visiting TU-Sofia at the invitation of the hosts and is participating in the International Week of the Technical University with guests from eight countries, partners in the "Erasmus+" program and the CEEPUS program, which is currently taking place.
As the chairman of the Association of Universities, he delivered a lecture on the higher education system in Paraguay.
