The Technical University of Sofia is organizing a three-day forum "Internships 2025". Today it is taking place in Sofia, on April 9 - at the Plovdiv Branch, and on April 10 - at the Faculty of Engineering Pedagogy and College Sliven.
More than 110 employers have registered. The forum was opened at 10:00 in the foyer of academic building 12 of the Technical University. The exhibition provides an opportunity for direct contact between students and companies, which will present information about their activities, internship positions and programs. Students will be able to choose the internship suitable for them and get acquainted with the prospects for a successful start in their career and professional realization.
More about the event, which is being held for the thirteenth consecutive year, Vladislav Prelezov - Department of "Public Relations" at TU - Sofia told Radio Sofia. "More than 170 employers will meet with students of the Technical University over the three days - a record for recent years. And I think this is a good opportunity for young people, students, young engineers of the Technical University to get acquainted with representatives of leading world companies, find their first internship and, of course, afterwards, if they like the work, if they feel good, to find their own professional realization. I must emphasize that with these internships they apply their knowledge in real business and really understand what they still need to learn during their training - as bachelors and then as masters, in order to be competitive and excellent specialists", he pointed out.
According to him, many of the companies represented at the current exhibition, their managers and specialists, graduated from the Technical University, and this is a prerequisite for students to get initial beneficial contacts as an internship and first job, which are useful to gain confidence and desire to be good and excellent engineers. "The most important thing is for students to find the most successful path for their professional growth and, of course, not to be afraid of the new, because it changes by days, weeks, even by hours", Prelezov added and emphasized that the goal of the exhibition forum "Internships" is to support them in this.
The exhibition will continue today until 16:00.
