A total of 27 laureates were selected at the 40th National Olympiad in Technical Drawing, announced the press center of the Ministry of Education and Science (MES).
The National Professional Gymnasium of Precision Engineering and Optics "M. V. Lomonosov" and the Professional Gymnasium of Transport and Energy "Henry Ford", as well as the Profiled Natural Sciences and Mathematics Gymnasium (PPMG) "Nancho Popovich" in Shumen, had the most laureates. Among the winners were also representatives of the Secondary School (SS) "Dr. Petar Beron" in Kostinbrod and the Professional Gymnasium of Mechano-Electrical Engineering "Gen. Ivan Bachvarov" in Sevlievo.
"Technical sciences and the training of engineers are at the core of the successful development of the economy", said the acting Deputy Minister of Education and Science Marieta Georgieva in her welcome address to the participants in the Olympiad, whose hosts were the Technical University and the "M. V. Lomonosov" Gymnasium.
The participants had to solve tasks in three groups - view from the left and dimensioning based on given front and top views of a solid body, sketching a part based on a given axonometric view, detailing from a drawing of the general view, and geometric constructions in a part drawing using AutoCAD.
"This is the only subject-specific Olympiad in professional training, and I believe that everyone who seriously engages with these disciplines has first conquered the desire for an easier path," said the director of the NPGETO "M. V. Lomonosov", engineer Tanya Mihaylova, addressing the competitors.
