Yesterday, April 18, the Municipality of Kozloduy organized for another year the Panorama of Education, Career Guidance, and Employment. The forum was held from 16:00 to 18:00 at the Information Center for Decommissioning of the State Enterprise "Radioactive Waste". Representatives actively participated in the Panorama from: SU "St. St. Cyril and Methodius", Kozloduy town, SU "St. St. Cyril and Methodius", Butan village, Innovative School SU "Hristo Botev", Kozloduy town, PGYE "Igor Kurchatov", Kozloduy town, Technical University – Gabrovo, Technical College – Lovech, Veliko Tarnovo University, Branch – Vratsa of Veliko Tarnovo University, Technical University – Sofia, College of Energy and Electronics at Technical University – Sofia, Ruse University "Angel Kanchev".
On the part of employers, representatives of "AES Kozloduy" EAD and the State Enterprise "Radioactive Waste", Kozloduy town, joined in.
In her welcome speech, Zornitsa Simeonova, Deputy Mayor of Kozloduy Municipality, addressed the participants: "For Kozloduy Municipality, the educational process is a key priority. The most important task facing us is the career guidance and life realization of young people in the municipality. I believe that this Forum is the place where educational institutions and universities will discover their future graduates, and representatives of employers will secure future qualified personnel."
At the event, Ms. Simeonova presented the awards to the winners of the municipal competition for multimedia presentations/videos "It Depends on You". First place in the competition was taken by Petio Efimov, a student in the 7th grade at OU "Hristo Botev", Glozhene village. Second and third places were taken by Venetsislav Tzankov and Konstantin Ivanov – students in the 7th grade, from SU "St. St. Cyril and Methodius", Kozloduy town. The competition is part of the Municipal Calendar "Youth Activities" 2024. The goal is to provide an opportunity for students from grades V to VIII from all schools in the territory of Kozloduy Municipality to exchange experience and ideas on reducing online aggression in social media, possible approaches to reacting to and countering aggression in cyberspace, by presenting multimedia projects.
The forum was attended by dozens of students and parents. With great interest, students from grades 10 to 12, who wanted to gather information about their preferred profession, find the right university, and learn more about their future realization, participated in career counseling conducted by Dr. Dragomir Marinov.
Children from KG "Zvyncheto", Kozloduy town, greeted and delighted the attendees at the forum with the song "Easter". The host of the event was Daniel Petleschkov – Chairman of the Municipal Children and Youth Parliament.
