The industry has a huge demand for technical personnel, from those who graduate from professional high schools to engineering specialties at technical universities. This became clear at the "Internships" forum, which opened at the Technical University of Sofia, Plovdiv branch.
Young people continue to show the greatest interest in "Computer Systems and Technologies", "Programming" as well as "Electronics and Artificial Intelligence". This is recorded as the first choice by most applicants to TU.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hristian Panayotov, deputy director of the branch, said that from this year there will be new specialties: "Intelligent Systems and Artificial Intelligence" and "Technological Entrepreneurship".
Over 50 companies from Plovdiv and Southern Bulgaria participated in the 12th edition of the "Internships" forum and presented job positions at their companies. More companies are looking for designers, engineers, technologists for robotic systems, etc. There is also interest in positions with dual training.
The exhibition gives young people the opportunity to meet personally with the professionals who select new employees in the companies.
Future specialists receive information on what knowledge and skills they will need in the future, how to behave during an interview, and how to present themselves successfully to employers.
