The tenth anniversary edition of the unique and emblematic TUES hackathon, organized by students for students, Hack TUES X, launched in March 2024.
From March 13th to 16th, 2024, the tenth anniversary edition of the emblematic TUES hackathon at TU – Hack TUES X will take place at Sofia Tech Park. Students from the Technological School "Electronic Systems" at the Technical University - Sofia, under the mentorship of the Association of TUES Graduates, are organizing this event again in a face-to-face format.
In 2023, Hack TUES found its place among the innovative and promising practices of UNESCO for "Technical and Vocational Education and Training." This makes Hack TUES the only educational practice from Bulgaria.
The hackathon started on 13.03.2024 with an opening ceremony, which will be broadcast live on the school's YouTube channel. During the ceremony, a discussion will take place, where the main theme and its sub-themes for this year's edition will be revealed. Leading specialists in the field of programming and information technology will participate in the discussion.
70 teams, composed of students from different grades, who will be assigned to teams with individual mentors - TUES graduates and/or part of the team of leading IT companies. This year, for the first time, there will also be 14 teams composed of TUES graduates from TU-Sofia. Students and graduate participants compete in different categories.
The project development days are March 14th and 15th, with the competition concluding on 16.03.2024 with an award ceremony. The competition format includes semi-finals and a final, where a selected jury of specialists will evaluate the projects of our graduates and announce the winners.
