World-renowned scientists, students, and enthusiasts of new technologies are gathering at the Plovdiv branch of the Technical University to participate in the Artificial Intelligence Day. It begins at 9:15 AM in the Aula of the higher education institution. The event is part of the series of meetings of the global initiative "Build with AI," which is being held in Plovdiv for the first time. Lectures will be delivered by world-renowned scientists working in the field of artificial intelligence.
There will be a presentation by Dr. Sebastian Hessler, a molecular genetics specialist who worked at the Center for Brain Science at Harvard University, and is currently the director of the "NERF" research center in Leuven, Belgium. His laboratory combines systems neuroscience research and collaborative neuroengineering to uncover some of the principles of brain function.
After that, a lecture will be delivered by Prof. Dr. Dimitar Prodanov from the Institute of Information and Communication Technologies of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, who is also part of the team at the Interuniversity Microelectronics Centre (IMEC) in Leuven.
Between 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM, a meeting of the members of the "Artificial Intelligence Cluster-Bulgaria" with representatives of business, the academic community, and students is scheduled.
In the afternoon, a workshop on artificial intelligence programming begins, in which both professionals and beginner programmers can participate.
