At the Center for Excellence of the Technical University (TU) in Sofia, AmCham Hackathon - 2024 is opening today. The hackathon is organized by the American
Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria (ATC) for the first time, in partnership with TU-Sofia and the Faculty of Economics at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski". This was announced by TU-Sofia.
The initiative sets several goals - for the contribution of the business association through
the expertise of its members in bridging the knowledge acquired in higher education institutions with the practical characteristics and needs of business; engaging
students in solving specific business cases; showcasing best practices
from established companies operating in Bulgaria; retaining students in the country and the possibility of subsequent engagement with university programs, as well as the opportunity to find professional development in companies participating in the hackathon.
Students will be assigned to teams to work on specific case studies in
a three-week extension. Throughout this time, they will be able to rely on
support from mentors from companies, members of ATC, teachers from both
universities, as well as resources with information and new knowledge.
The hackathon is for third and fourth-year students and master's students at the
Technical University and from the Faculty of Economics at SU. For TU, the focus is on
those studying in the "Engineering", "Software Engineering",
"Telecommunications", "Artificial Intelligence", "Cybersecurity", "Informatics",
