

The third day of the "Sofia week" forum at the European Technological University (EUt+), which is organized at the Technical University of Sofia (TUS), began with a meeting of the rectors of the eight partner universities, reported by TUS-Sofia. From January 16 to 20, over 80 participants from the eight European universities that are partners in the European Technological University (EUt+), met in Sofia within the framework of "Sofia week". The Technical University of Sofia is hosting the forum. The main topic discussed was the preparation of application documents for financing of the next stage of the project. The deadline for submitting documents is 31 January 2023. An important issue under discussion is the search for opportunities to apply for other EU programs, such as the "Horizon" program and "Mundus". The general opinion is that so far the EUt + project has been developing successfully, an opinion expressed in the report of the Program Monitoring Body. Issues related to the development of joint IT platforms and cooperation in the field of zero-emission cities are also discussed. Two documents are ready for signing - Open Research Statement and Agreement for EUt + Graduate Research School. The delegates will also meet with the European Commissioner for innovations, scientific research, culture, education and youth Maria Gabriel. The Technical University of Sofia is one of the eight founders of the European technological university EUt+, a new type of confederative institution foundation, created with the vision "Think first about the person", fully oriented towards the person and the approach to modern technologies. In implementation of one of the leading EU initiatives for building a European educational space, the European Technological University EUt+ promotes European values, identity and above all the revolution in quality and competitiveness of European higher education. Its main mission is to contribute to the well-being of society, and its students to become technologically literate professionals and responsible European citizens. The development of a European vision for technology, which is of essential importance for the development of the European project, must become a reality for students and staff of EUt+.
