Every regularly enrolled student at the university can participate with a project in the "Student Innovation Hub of TU-Sofia" competition for scientific, methodological, and technical support of their innovative development, conceptual model, design, technology, software solution, etc. The student chooses a mentor – a researcher on a main contract at TU-Sofia. The mentor submits the project proposal electronically on behalf of the student, and after a positive evaluation of the project by the relevant commission, becomes the supervisor of the contract. If the work on the project leads to the protection of intellectual property, the development is protected on behalf of TU-Sofia, and the inventor is the student or students. The Research Sector (NIS) always supports innovative and curious students from the Technical University, the institution notes, and adds that the new session of the "Student Innovation Hub of TU-Sofia" competition begins in March 2023.
