Bulgarian innovation for waste compression, funded by the National Innovation Fund, reduces the carbon footprint of user companies and successfully enters foreign markets

Bulgarian innovation by "Auto Engineering Holding Group" in partnership with Technical University - Sofia, funded by the National Innovation Fund, managed by the Executive Agency for Small and Medium Enterprises, has managed to provide a waste compression solution that helps reduce the carbon footprint, and has already been successfully implemented in both the Bulgarian and German markets. This was announced to BTA by the Executive Agency for Small and Medium Enterprises. "Auto Engineering Holding Group" is one of the leading manufacturers on the Bulgarian market of specialized vehicles and equipment for fire, emergency rescue, police, airport, medical, municipal, and other state services. The company produces and integrates all kinds of superstructures for specialized vehicles. "We are a Bulgarian company operating on a global level, an international leader in the supply of specialized facilities and equipment since 2003. We started our business with the delivery of fire trucks and equipment and became one of the leading companies on the Bulgarian market in this sector. Over 18 years, we have entered 21 countries on 4 continents. We have accumulated rich experience in designing, manufacturing, transforming, and maintaining over 700 vehicles and have over 300 successfully completed delivery contracts," the company comments. "The compacting machine - a waste container type, has a capacity of up to 500 liters and allows two types of power supply: from the electrical grid or via a solar panel. Eco Compact reduces the volume of any type of packaging by up to 7 times, which in turn contributes to a significant reduction in transportation costs and reduces the carbon footprint of companies that choose to implement the innovation in their structures. The innovative compactor is now available on the Bulgarian market and is suitable for installation in shopping centers, fast-food restaurants, office buildings, cinemas and theaters, sports facilities, as well as in parks and gardens, where the problem of waste volume and its rapid accumulation is evident. Recently, Eco Compact has also started being sold in Germany through our network of local partners. This is also one of the products that our company presents at this year's electronic edition of the largest trade forum - Hannover Messe. The benefits of the project are significant both for users of the compactor, reducing their direct costs for waste removal, and for developing the green economy of our country as a whole, the company states. For the creation of innovative developments, "Auto Engineering Holding Group" successfully works with Prof. Todorov - one of the leading scientists, and his team from the "CAD/CAM/CAE in Industry" research laboratory, in the field of rapid prototyping at the Technical University - Sofia.
