
President Rumen Radev will visit tomorrow the National Centre for Mechatronics and Clean Technologies at the Technical University of Sofia, where he will tour the laboratory complex and hold a meeting with the rectorate of the higher education institution. This was announced by the press office of the head of state. The President will deliver a greeting at a ceremony attended by the heads of the laboratories established in the campus of the National Centre. The National Centre for Mechatronics and Clean Technologies was implemented with European and national co-financing. Its goal is to bring together renowned scientists in the field of mechatronics and clean technologies and to create a leading scientific institution in this field that will promote research activities, technological development, and innovation. Partners in the project include 12 institutes of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, the Technical Universities in Sofia, Varna, and Gabrovo, Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy, and the Central Laboratory of Applied Physics at BAS – Plovdiv. Partnerships have also been attracted with structures of universities in Israel, the Netherlands, and Switzerland, as well as representatives of business.
