Over 700 applicants took the third preliminary mathematics exam at the Technical University of Sofia

 

Over 700 applicants took the third preliminary entrance exam in mathematics at the Technical University (TU) in Sofia, the press center of the higher education institution reported. The exam was conducted using a specialized university platform and the Google Meet application. The duration of the exam was four astronomical hours, divided into two modules of 120 minutes each, with a mandatory 15-minute break between them. The first module consisted of 20 tasks of lower difficulty, with each correctly solved task worth 1 point. The second module consisted of 10 tasks of higher difficulty, with each correctly solved task worth 2 points. The maximum number of points for the test is 40. The exam results are already available, and each applicant can view them in their personal applicant information. In total, the applicants for the three preliminary mathematics exams are nearly 2400, which again confirms the huge interest in studying at the leading higher technical university in the country. The regular entrance exams at the Technical University in Sofia are scheduled for early July, to be held according to the timetable. The mathematics test will be on July 2, drawing on July 3 for the "Engineering Design" specialization; composition on July 4 for the "Engineering Design" specialization. On July 4, the foreign language exams - German, French, and English - will also take place. The Technical University in Sofia offers studies in over 30 bachelor's specializations, four of which are new - "Intelligent Systems and Artificial Intelligence", "Intelligent Systems and Artificial Intelligence - in English", "Data Analysis", and "Cybersecurity".
