On April 3rd and 4th, 2022, the Rectorate of the Technical University – Sofia visited the Faculty of Engineering Pedagogy and College – Sliven. On April 3rd, 2022 (Sunday) at 19:00, the official opening of the park area and the external design of the TU – Sofia units in the city of Sliven took place. The Rector of the Technical University – Sofia, Prof. Dr. Eng. Ivan Králov, the Vice-Rector for Faculty and College – Sliven, Prof. Dr. Eng. Stanimir Karapetkov, the Governor of Sliven Region, Veselin Vălchev, the Vice-Rector for Academic Staff and Coordination, Prof. Dr. Georgi Venkov, the Vice-Rector for e-Government, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Rosen Radonov, the Chairman of the General Assembly of TU – Sofia and Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Technology, Prof. Dr. Eng. Georgi Todorov, the Director of TU – Sofia Branch Plovdiv, Prof. Dr. Eng. Văljo Nikolov, the Director of Technical College – Kazanlăk, Prof. Dr. Eng. Ivailo Ganev, the Head of the Academic Department of TU – Sofia, MSc Eng. Silviya Borislavova, the Director of the Directorate "Information and Public Relations", Prof. Dr. Eng. Georgi Angelov, the Head of the "Public Relations" Department, Dr. Vladislav Prelezov, deans of faculties, directors of directorates, heads of departments, teachers, and others attended the official opening. The Rector of the Technical University – Sofia, Prof. Dr. Eng. Ivan Králov, and the Vice-Rector for Faculty and College – Sliven, Prof. Dr. Eng. Stanimir Karapetkov, opened the university park, the illuminated signs, and the fountain. In his address, Rector Prof. Dr. Eng. Ivan Králov emphasized the leading position of the Technical University – Sofia for another year in six professional fields according to the university rating system, the position "1200" in the authoritative world ranking of universities Times Higher Education World University Rankings for 2022, and the participation of TU – Sofia as a co-founder of the European Technological University EUt+, an alliance of eight European higher education institutions. Prof. Dr. Eng. Stanimir Karapetkov welcomed the guests and thanked them for the support provided by the management of TU – Sofia, emphasizing that students should come to classes with enthusiasm and learn not only in modern classrooms and laboratories but also in a natural and beautiful environment. On April 4th, 2022 (Monday) at 9:00, the guests were introduced to the renovation of the building complex and upcoming projects, followed by a meeting of the Rectorate with the academic staff of the Faculty of Engineering Pedagogy – Sliven and College – Sliven.
