The first edition of the Bosch ECS Career Camp, a training program for young software specialists in Bulgaria, launched in November 2021, has concluded. Those who successfully completed the Bosch Engineering Center Sofia academy received certificates from the company. The specialized academy lasted for 4 months, during which participants acquired knowledge and skills for working with modern software technologies for the automotive industry. After completing the program, participants were invited to join the Center's team in positions matching their profile. Thus, their participation in the Bosch ECS Career Camp can become a good career start in the field of
information technology and mobility, the company stated. The engineering academy included a series of lectures and practical assignments from professionals in the Bosch Engineering Center Sofia team. Among the priority goals of the Bosch ECS Career Camp are the opportunities to gain experience with the latest technologies in the sector – software algorithms, standards, processes, and programs, which is crucial for creating sustainable solutions in the future. The academy was structured into three areas: programming with Embedded C, Embedded Modern C++, and advanced methods for automated testing and validation for future test engineers. "The development of the IT sector in Bulgaria is of great importance to Bosch Engineering Center Sofia. Through the academy, we provide talented young people with interest and potential for development the opportunity to gain practical experience in this extremely dynamic and innovative field," shared Momchil Stanchev, department head at Bosch Engineering Center Sofia. By creating new skills in the field of automotive software, the company aims to inspire more people to view engineering as a potential career path, added Elena Demireva, HR Manager at "Robert Bosch". Following the launch of the first academy at the Center for training software engineers – Bosch ECS Career Camp, the commitment to supporting young talents and investment in education led to the expansion of the company's cooperation with the Technical University – Sofia and the opening of a new multidisciplinary bachelor's program "Intelligent Systems and Artificial Intelligence". Experts from the Center will play a leading role in a special practical module "Intelligent Technologies for the Automotive Industry". To support students and the university, a modern laboratory will be created, equipped by Bosch. The next edition of the engineering academy Bosch ECS Career Camp is scheduled to be announced in the fall of 2022, the company clarified.
