

Nearly 1000 applicants took the first preliminary entrance exam in mathematics at the Technical University (TU) in Sofia, the press center of the higher education institution reported. The exam was conducted using a specialized university platform and the Google Meet application. The duration of the exam was four astronomical hours, divided into two modules of 120 minutes each, with a mandatory 15-minute break between them. The first module consisted of 20 tasks of lower difficulty, with each correctly solved task earning one point. The second module consisted of ten tasks of higher difficulty, with each correctly solved task earning two points. The maximum number of points for the test is 40. The exam results are already available, and each applicant can view them in their personal applicant information. The next preliminary exams at the Technical University in Sofia will be held according to the schedule. A mathematics test will take place on April 2 and April 16. The German language exam (for admission to the Faculty of German Engineering Education and Industrial Management) is on April 9. The English language exam is on April 9 (for the specialty "Industrial Engineering" at the Faculty of English Engineering Education and for the specialty "Intelligent Systems and Artificial Intelligence - in English" at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering). The drawing exam will be on April 16, and the composition exam on April 16, for the specialty "Engineering Design". All preliminary tests and exams will be conducted remotely, except for the German language exam, which will be in-person. The Technical University in Sofia offers study programs in four new bachelor's specialties: "Intelligent Systems and Artificial Intelligence", "Intelligent Systems and Artificial Intelligence - in English", "Data Analysis", and "Cybersecurity". As a co-founder of the European Technological University EUt+, a consortium of eight European higher education institutions, TU-Sofia offers even greater opportunities for mobility in education and for obtaining an internationally recognized European higher education, the higher education institution notes.
