NKIZ participated in the International Conference "Innovations and Investments" focus-news.net "National Company Industrial Zones" EAD participated in the International Conference "Innovations and Investments". The event was organized by the Executive Agency for Small and Medium Enterprises (EASME) in cooperation with the Bulgarian Employers' Association for Innovative Technologies (BEAIT). This was announced by the NKIZ press center. The forum took place in the building of the "National Center for Mechatronics and Clean Technologies" and was opened by Ivan Mihaylov, Chairman of the Board of BEAIT. Greetings to the attendees were also delivered by Krasiimir Kiryakov, Deputy Minister of Economy, Kiril Domuschiev, Chairman of the Confederation of Employers and Industrialists of Bulgaria (KEIB), and others. Prof. Ivan Králov, Rector of the Technical University – Sofia (TU – Sofia) and Prof. Georgi Todorov, Head of the "Prof. Iliya Boyadzhiev" Center for Virtual Engineering at TU – Sofia, presented the newly established "National Center for Mechatronics and Clean Technologies". The Center is located in the renovated Block No. 8 of TU-Sofia and is equipped with the most modern scientific equipment. Among the participants in the event were Filip Kupfer, Trade Advisor at Advantage Austria, Petar Ivanov, CEO of the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham), Dr. Eng. Boryana Manolova, CEO of Siemens for Bulgaria and North Macedonia, and Vice President of KEIB, and others. The main topic of the conference was accelerating the transfer of scientific research to business, which in turn would contribute to increasing the competitiveness of the Bulgarian economy in important technological areas for the country, such as mechanics, electronics, control systems, electromobility, etc. During the event, opportunities for investment in scientific infrastructure were presented, as part of the cooperation between technology companies and educational institutions in Bulgaria. After the official part, bilateral meetings were held between representatives of business and representatives of the scientific community.
