In a solemn ceremony in the hall of the Academic Council of the Technical University of Sofia, Dr. Dancho Penchev, Director of the Capital Regional Health Inspectorate, presented certificates of honor to the Rector of TU-Sofia, Prof. Ivan Králov, and to the General Secretary Nikola Nikolov. The certificates were awarded to TU-Sofia as the first higher education institution in Bulgaria to establish a COVID-19 vaccination center on its premises, the university's press center reported. The Technical University of Sofia is the first institution in the country to be honored with such a certificate. Prof. Králov welcomed the guests and expressed gratitude for the fruitful cooperation and the methodological assistance provided for the implementation of anti-epidemic measures. "The established vaccination center was an expression of our shared social commitment to protecting the health of young people and the nation as a whole," the Rector emphasized. Dr. Dancho Penchev thanked the Rector for the joint work in the vaccination process. "We set an example of how institutions can successfully cooperate in a difficult situation, with care for people's health," Dr. Penchev said. The operation of the center was supported by medical personnel from the Emergency Medical Aid Center in Sofia, which enabled the vaccination of faculty, staff, students, and all citizens who wished to be vaccinated.
