Traditionally, over 80 percent of participants join the company team permanently. 16 talented students and university students received their certificates for successfully completing the A1 Summer Academy. Over the course of three months, they enhanced their skills and gained valuable experience in a real business environment by working on key projects for the company. Their mentors were among the most established A1 professionals in the fields of information technology, finance, network, and services. For the third consecutive year, the A1 Summer Academy provides talented young people with the opportunity to work on diverse, real projects of key importance to the company, thereby gaining practical experience. Participants in the third edition of the initiative were representatives of the Technical University – Sofia, the University of National and World Economy (UNWE), and the Technological College "Electronic Systems" (TC ES), who distinguished themselves with outstanding results. As in previous editions of the initiative, over 80% of participants join the A1 team permanently. "I hope that the world of technology and the A1 Summer Academy were inspiring for people at the start of their professional path. I am proud that A1 traditionally supports dozens of young talents, and I am glad that with each passing year we can engage them with increasingly interesting and exciting projects, through which they can gain practical experience in a real business environment. The trainings we organized for the participants synthesize the experience of many established professionals in their field, and I am confident that they will be useful to them in the future. I believe that the drive for development and skill enhancement are important components of the 'recipe' for success, and judging by my personal impressions of the participants and the feedback from their mentors, at the A1 Summer Academy we have the privilege of interacting with future creators of innovation, many of whom will also become our colleagues," stated Miglena Uzunova, Senior Director of Human Resources and member of the Leadership Team of A1 Bulgaria. Also joining the online event were Vasil Neychev, Senior Manager in the "Information Technology and Digital Transformation" direction, and Rositsa Rusenova, Team Manager in the "Network and Services" direction at A1 Bulgaria. They congratulated the participants on the successful completion of the A1 Summer Academy and expressed confidence that young talents with bold ideas, technological knowledge, and a desire to contribute to the development of innovations and digitalization give confidence in the future of the IT and technology sector in the country. In addition to the practical experience gained during the A1 Summer Academy while working in the "Information Technology and Digital Transformation," "Network and Services," and "Finance" directions, they also completed six specialized trainings designed to help them develop important skills and prepare them for the next step in their career development. Topics included presentation skills, guidelines for effective business communication, and basic behavioral styles. Other opportunities through which A1 traditionally supports the development of young talents at the beginning of their career path include various youth initiatives, such as partnerships with leading universities, a year-round internship program, and more. The A1 internship program has been running for over 15 years. Every year, it provides dozens of active and ambitious young people with the opportunity to consolidate and expand their knowledge and skills in a real business environment. Since the beginning of the internship program in 2005, a total of over 1,100 interns have participated in the A1 internship program, of which more than 30% have remained on permanent contracts after completing their internship. The program is year-round, paid, and its duration is tailored to individual preferences.
