They will acquire valuable practical knowledge and skills in a real business environment in the fields of IT, network and services, and finance. 16 students from various specialties, who distinguished themselves with outstanding performance in various educational initiatives throughout the year, joined the A1 team today. The company's Summer Academy provides young people with the opportunity to work on diverse real projects and gain practical experience in the areas of "Information Technology and Digital Transformation", "Network and Services", and "Finance". Participants in the third edition of the Summer Academy are representatives of the Technical University – Sofia, the University of National and World Economy (UNWE), and the Technological College "Electronic Systems" (TCES). Miglena Uzunova, Senior Director of Human Resources and member of the Leadership Team of A1 Bulgaria, commented: "I am happy to welcome you today to the world of technology and the A1 Summer Academy. It has always been of key importance to our company to support young people at the start of their professional careers, as well as to encourage them to continue learning and developing. I believe that over the next three months you will learn a lot from some of the best professionals in their field in the country. I wish you to continue to be as active, curious, and innovative as ever. Good luck!" This is the third edition of the A1 Summer Academy, which launched for the first time in 2019. At that time, students with interests in the fields of information technology, network and services, and marketing participated. To join the Summer Academy, students demonstrated not only excellent theoretical preparation during various partnership initiatives throughout the past year, but also showed interest and motivation. The A1 Summer Academy will continue until September 30, and during the three months, participants will receive a monthly salary for their work, and will be able to benefit from a company card and phone, additional health insurance, and other social benefits. After completing the academy, 84% of participants in the previous two editions joined the A1 team permanently. The Summer Academy is part of a number of youth initiatives that A1 has developed over the years, including partnerships with leading universities, a year-round internship program, etc. A1's internship program has been running for over 15 years. Every year it provides the opportunity for dozens of active and ambitious young people to reward and expand their knowledge and skills in a real business environment. Since the beginning of the internship program in 2005, a total of over 1000 interns have participated in A1's internship program, of which more than 30% have remained on a permanent contract after completing their internship. The program is year-round, paid, and its duration is tailored to individual preferences.
