A ceremonial ceremony for the awarding of higher education diplomas, educational and qualification degree "Professional Bachelor", specialty "Machine Engineering" of the first graduating class of the Technical College at the Technical University - Sofia took place in Kazanlak, reported a correspondent of Radio "Focus". Among the official guests were the rector of the Technical University - Prof. Ivan Králov, the mayor of the Municipality of Kazanlak Galina Stoyanova, heads of machine-building enterprises in Kazanlak and citizens. The graduates of the college were greeted by the rector of the Technical University Prof. Ivan Králov, who on behalf of the academic leadership wished the graduates to continue learning, because learning gives security. Prof. Ivaïlo Ganev - director of the Technical College, stated that the college in Kazanlak has created new horizons for the development of the university as a whole: "In the college we implement a new approach to education - education that is closely linked to practice, which is organized in most enterprises in the city." The academic leadership of the Technical University - Sofia awarded Mayor Galina Stoyanova with a jubilee gold medal for active assistance in the creation and development of the Technical College in Kazanlak and for expanding the popularity of the Technical University. "For me, today is a dream that I had even when I became mayor, which I received from the pantheon of mayors before me and many Kazanlak residents who dreamed that Kazanlak would be a city of students. You graduates are the real fact that this dream is true. When there is a very big dream and when good people and friends are sought, they meet. There is divine intervention in such dreams that we want to come true, there is also in the creation of the Technical College in Kazanlak," said Mayor Galina Stoyanova. The jubilee gold medal was also awarded to the executive director of the Military Plant in Kazanlak Nikolay Ibushov, and the prokurist of one of the large machine-building enterprises in Kazanlak Vladimir Spasov, as well as heads of enterprises from the machine-building sector in Kazanlak, who contributed to the expansion of the material base of the college in Kazanlak.
The graduates of this first graduating class also pronounced the Galilean oath, with which in recent years graduates from universities have undertaken to use what they have learned only for peaceful purposes, for a better world.
